Cardi B collaborations have been spreading like wildfire lately, and Maroon 5 is the latest to enlist the Bronx rapper for a single. The band took to Twitter Wednesday (May 30) to announce a Cardi-fied version of their song “Girls Like You,” set for release Thursday (May 31).
“Rumors are true,” read the band’s statement. “Our new single #GirlsLikeYou, ft. @iamcardib, is out tomorrow. Stay tuned for more!”
“Girls Like You” was previously released on Maroon 5’s sixth studio album, Red Pill Blues, which came out last November. ?The album already included a star-studded roster of hip-hop features upon its release, including Future, Kendrick Lamar, SZA and A$AP Rocky.
As for Cardi, the revamped release of the mellow “Girls Like You” will mark her fourth feature on another artist’s single so far this year, following Bruno Mars‘ “Finesse,” Rita Ora‘s “Girls” and Jennifer Lopez‘s “Dinero.”
