Marina released the second single from her upcoming album Love+ Fear on Friday (March 1).
Aptly titled “Superstar,” the new track is a romantic mid-tempo banger dedicated to a significant other who embraces the Welsh pop star, flaws and all.
Over a shimmering backdrop of pulsating beats and gently sweeping keys, Marina delivers swooning lyrics like, “You never judge me for any of my fears/Never turn your back/Always keep my body near/All of the days that we spend apart/My love is a planet/Revolving your heart,” in her signature angelic soprano.
An accompanying lyric video depicts an upside-down Marina nearly submerged in a crystalline pool of water, the singer’s long brunette locks fanning out below her as the song’s lyrics play across the bottom of the screen.
Love+ Fear will be Marina’s first full-length studio LP since 2015’s Froot, and is set to be released April 26 on Atlantic.
