As fans patiently wait for Mariah Carey to take the American Music Awards stage tonight (Oct. 9) and debut her new single “With You,” the pop star decided to share another sneak peek of what’s to come on Monday (Oct. 8). Teasing the track’s visual on Twitter once again, Mimi shared a photo of the back of two women (possibly her on the right) editing a video, with the caption: “Yes — it’s coming, I promise! #WithYou.”
Earlier this month, Carey shared a short video featuring the song’s piano line accompanied by Los Angeles visuals, captioning it with a simple “#WithYou” followed by a heart emoji.
The inviting single is a warm piano ballad about falling in love, accented by one of the high-tone whistle notes that are the singer’s signature. “With You” marks the second track from her upcoming, as-yet-untitled album, following the less-inviting “GTFO.” Although Mimi has already confirmed she’s working on the follow-up album to her iconic 2014’s Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse, no official title or release date have been announced yet.
