Another Friday (Aug. 14), another clutch of Mariah Carey goodies. The singer just dropped four remix EPs from the 1995 Daydream era as part of the ongoing #MC30 celebration of her three decades in the game and the Lambily will not be disappointed.
The mini-albums include an 11-track “Fantasy” remix collection, which includes the O.D.B.-blessed original, plus a “Bad Boy” mix, “Puffy’s Club” mix, as well as an 11-minute “Def Club” mix and a “Live at Madison Square Garden” version from the year of the album’s release.
You can also dig into the nine tracks on the “Always Be My Baby” collection, including a 10-minute “Always Club” David Morales take, the original featuring Da Brat and Xscape and a “Live at Madison Square Garden.”
Then there’s the four-track “One Sweet Day” EP, with a “Chucky’s” remix of the song featuring Boyz II Men, two a cappella versions and a live from MSG take. Finish things off with the three-track “Underneath the Stars” EP, with a “Drifting” remix minus the rap and a “Sweet” a cappella version.
Listen to the EPs, as well as a performance of “Open Arms” on Top of the Pops in 1996, below.
