Carey was more than three hours late to the taping Tuesday, leaving fans waiting in the cold and rain, TMZ reports. And when she did show up, NBC executives and crew were upset enough to send the superstar packing.
But Wednesday, the gossip site reported the network had a change of heart and Carey would be performing after all. She posted an apology on Twitter following:
Last night’s situation was beyond my control. I apologize to all that showed up, you know that I would never want to disappoint you.
