Mariah Carey finished her three-night stint on The Late Late Show with James Corden Thursday night (Dec. 19) by performing an extra-festive rendition of “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”
Flanked by back-up dancers dressed as toy soldiers and candy cane-wielding elves, the icon was all smiles as she belted out her newly-crowned No. 1 hit with her trademark vocals, merriment and panache. “Oh I just want you for my own/ More than you could ever know/ Make my wish come true/ Oh baby, all I want for Christmas is you,” Carey sang as a red-robed gospel choir rushed the stage and snow began to fall for the song’s jubilant final chorus.
Earlier in the week, Mimi also performed 2010 bop “Oh Santa” and cozy ballad “Christmas Time Is In the Air Again.” Her final Late Late Show performance came on the same day she released an updated version of the iconic “All I Want For Christmas Is You” music video to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its release.
