Australian alt trio Mansionair are sharing the video for their new song ”Astronaut (Something About Your Love)” exclusively on Billboard today (Feb. 14).
The video perfectly blends the smooth, beat-driven song, with kaleidoscopic effects and various colorful light projections displayed over the three-piece band.
Mansionair guitarist Lachlan Bostock says the psychedelic video was a metaphor for being lost in space. “We shot this video in an old warehouse in Berlin at the end of our European Tour,” he tells Billboard. “We had the camera linked to a projector that pushed the live image back on top of the us creating these infinite feedback loops.”
The band have been making their way onto the Alternative Charts, thanks to their recent collaboration with ODESZA titled “Line Of Sight.” In the past, they’ve have toured with Chvrches and Florence + The Machine.
