Why take the traditional route and release an electronic remix, when you can team up with Travis Barker to create a totally badass punk version? That’s exactly what Maggie Lindemann did with her track “Friends Go,” the new mix of which is out everywhere today (June 21).
Originally a reggae-tinged pop song, Barker took it and twisted it into something that sounds like it would fit nicely in Blink-182’s catalogue. It’s full of raw energy and feels totally natural for the song, which will take you right back to the pit.
“I feel like this version of song dives a little deeper into me as an artist,” Lindemann tells Billboard. “I like to be versatile in my music because I am versatile in my every day life. But I feel like this version is really me, so I hope people enjoy it!”
“Friends Go” is off the singer’s debut full-length, set to arrive later this year.
