Madison Beer is taking no prisoners on her new single “Hurts Like Hell,” released today (Nov. 9). The fierce song, co-written by Charli XCX, also features a verse from Migos’ Offset.
On “Hurts Like Hell,” Beer scorns her ex after he leaves her for another girl. Synths distort Beer’s deep, soulful vocals for a sinister vibe, and they’re layered over the song’s trap beat. “I know I’m messing up your mind/ Bet now I got you good this time,” Beer unapologetically sings to her ex.
Offset’s instantly recognizable vocals add texture to “Hurts Like Hell,” as he raps through his verse in signature Migos-style triplets.
“Hurts Like Hell” follows the 19-year-old’s release of her 2018 EP As She Pleases on Feb. 2. Promo footage for the song on Beer’s Instagram page, showing the singer holding back two ferocious dogs, indicates that a fierce music video for “Hurts Like Hell” is on the way.
