Madison Beer took to Twitter on Tuesday (July 12) to apologize for mouthing the N-word in a Snapchat video.
The singer — who got her big break thanks to Justin Bieber‘s online endorsement back in 2012 — got into hot water by lip-syncing the N-word in a Snap video set to Young Thug’s “Best Friend” and was flooded with negative feedback online. She quickly tweeted that she was sorry after one of her followers asked for an “explanation & apology.”
deleted the snap right away after I realized what I had done!!! I am so sorry. I did not mean to offend ANYBODY! https://t.co/F1tlRxtSmI

While Beer deleted the Snap, nothing is ever truly deleted online: A fan captured the video and tweeted it out for everyone wondering what the controversy was all about.
