What do you do when you’re a member of one of the U.K.’s most famous boy bands and your country’s youngest prince shares your first name? Well, if you’re Louis Tomlinson, you greet him via Twitter and send him an Adidas tracksuit.
The One Direction member tweeted his kind regards to William and Kate’s third child, who was born Monday. The tiny royal’s full name, Louis Arthur Charles, was made public Friday (Apr. 27) — but you can also call him His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge.
The announcement prompted a tweet from the Tomlinson, in which he said “Young Louis welcome to the world. I’ll take you under my wing lad. The Adidas tracksuit is in the post!” But if you were hoping Baby Louis was named after the 1D guy, we have disappointing news: the name actually honors Louis Mountbatten, Prince Charles’ great-uncle.
Tomlinson has also experienced the joys of parenthood, having welcomed his first and only child, son Freddie, in January 2016. He’s also given some recent teasers regarding his forthcoming debut solo album.
Check out his tweet to Prince Louis below, and we’ll be waiting for photos of that tracksuit.
