Lorde’s “Yellow Flicker Beats” is put to some dark images in the new trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1.
The new clip follows the cinematic heroine Katniss Everdeen (played by Jennifer Lawrence) as she makes her return to the now-wasteland that is her homeland, District 12. It’s equal parts bleak and dramatic, and Lorde’s latest fits the mood perfectly.
The New Zealand-born singer was tapped as the curator of the film soundtrack, and she shared the new song in late September. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 is the first of a two-part final chapter in the action series, which is set in a dystopian teen-kill-teen future. It’ll be in theaters on Nov. 21.
