What’cha working’ on there, Lorde?
On Aug. 29, Lorde shared an Instagram shot of her in a recording studio with a candlelit soundboard. Her caption reads, “i always remind myself to bring a candle for the studio and finally i did today and ohhhhhhh.”
Is Ella working on her new track for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay: Part 1 soundtrack? She’s also curating the entire playlist, in case you missed it. Or is she putting in time for material that will wind up on the follow-up to 2013’s Pure Heroine?

In Nov. 2013, Pure Heroine producer Joel Little told Billboard that he and Lorde were planning to “get together before the end of the year” to “play around with some ideas,” so it wouldn’t be too surprising if they’ve already got some work done.
In other Lorde-related news, her North American fans can soon catch her live, as her tour begins Sept. 5 in Philadelphia and runs through Oct. 10.
