At this point, whatever it takes for Lorde to make progress on the follow-up to her instant-classic 2013 debut, Pure Heroine is fine with us. And it appears the singer made some big strides recently during a three-day singular walkabout in the woods, where she had some revelations about what’s next.
In an encouraging tweet on Wednesday night, Lorde said she was helicopter dropped into the wilderness alone recently, where she made the “most exciting breakthroughs” on the album so far.

That certainly beats the previous tweet from a few hours before, where she admitted that she was a bit embarrassed that she ordered a dress and had it delivered to producer/collaborator Jack Antonoff’s place. (She just said “Jack,” but given the string of tweets and photos of the two together as they work on the as-yet-untitled, unscheduled album it seems safe to assume it’s Antonoff.)

Either way, we know she’s been hard at it all summer, posting three weeks ago that she and Antonoff “really crushed it at work this week.”
