Lifetime is diving into the story of Whitney Houston and her daughter Bobbi Kristina in a new documentary titled Whitney Houston & Bobbi Kristina: Didn’t We Almost Have It All.
The upcoming doc will celebrate their lives and open up about their tragic deaths, featuring interviews from close friends, family and co-workers. The musical icon died in 2012 at 48 years old, and her daughter followed in an eerily similar manner in 2015 at age 22. Both were found unresponsive in their bathtubs, and struggled with drug and alcohol abuse throughout their lives.
“She just wanted to be a mother,” one person says of Houston in a new trailer released on Tuesday (Dec. 22). “She loved her daughter more than anything.”
Whitney Houston & Bobbi Kristina: Didn’t We Almost Have It All is set to premiere on Lifetime Saturday, Feb. 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
