Liam Payne took his current single “Bedroom Floor” and stripped that down this morning (Dec. 8), releasing an acoustic version of the sexy song with a live performance video on his YouTube channel.
In the video, the 24-year-old U.K. singer is surrounded in a studio by instrumentalists. There are still some beats other than the acoustic guitar — also hints of a double bass — but this is definitely a stripped back version of the original. In this version, Payne’s voice carries the song and soars into falsetto-level registers.
“Bedroom Floor” was released on Oct. 20 and co-written by Charlie Puth. It marks his third single since embarking on his solo venture in May with “Strip That Down,” which peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.
As the song ends, Payne shoots a childish grin to the camera. He’s clearly satisfied with this simpler “Bedroom Floor.” Will you be? Listen below to decide.
