Norwegian singer-songwriter Sigrid took center stage at The Late Show on Tuesday night (Feb. 19) to perform her latest single, “Don’t Feel Like Crying.” Wearing sparkly hot pink pants and a black turtleneck, the singer filled the screen with a joyful presence as she danced without abandon to the incessant beat.
The feel-good pop anthem channels Sigrid’s optimistic attitude following a breakup as she sang the lyrics, “Hope you don’t blame me for what I’m saying/ My heart is aching, do you feel it too?/ I hope you understand that I’m dealing/ It’s my way of healing, but here’s the truth/ Wallowing in it would be such a waste/ That isn’t gonna fix it anyway, no whoa.”
Released on Jan. 17, “Don’t Feel Like Crying” is the first taste of Sigrid’s upcoming debut full-length album, Sucker Punch, which is due out on March 8.
