With a one-of-a-kind performance of “Sweater Weather,” Pentatonix stopped by The Late Late Show on Monday (Nov. 12) to unplug their fall anthem. Seamlessly vocalizing on a stripped-back rendition of the track from their just-released fourth holiday album, Christmas is Here!, the band (Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kirstin Maldonado, Kevin Olusola and Matt Sallee) sat together around candles and with no instruments, re-imagined the track with just the power of their voices.
Showing off their gripping chemistry, the performance offered their organic mix of hypnotizing vocals, coordinated clapping as well as Olusola and Sallee’s beatboxing.
With each of the member’s magnetic vocal delivery seamlessly mixing with the other’s, the bare-boned rendition revealed both a mystical and cozy by-the-fire feel.
