Christina Aguilera has at long last dropped her rousing empowerment anthem, the Demi Lovato-featuring “Fall In Line.” Although she’s guaranteed to deliver a jaw-dropping performance of the soulful serenade at Sunday’s (May 20) Billboard Music Awards, she proved it sounds pretty incredible sung from the passenger’s seat, as well.
The pop diva joined The Late Late Show host James Corden for a bonus segment of “Carpool Karaoke” on Wednesday night (May 16), during which the two joined forces on Aguilera’s latest single while cruising around Los Angeles. As you might expect, Aguilera naturally sang with stunning ease. While Corden understandably couldn’t quite match her famous vocal force, he nailed the high notes and even ventured into some impressive harmonization near the song’s end.
“Fall In Line” comes from Aguilera’s forthcoming eighth studio album, Liberation, her first full-length in six years. Get ready to catch her performance alongside Lovato at the BBMAs by singing along to her “Carpool Karaoke” bit below.
