Lana Del Rey‘s long-awaited poetry will finally be seeing the light of day.
The Los Angeles singer-songwriter shared on Instagram Saturday (June 1) that fans will be able to read some of her new poetry on the pages of Vogue Italia‘s June issue, which will be released Tuesday. Del Rey teased some of the poetry alongside her Vogue Italia cover on Instagram.
“‘May my eyes always stay level to the horizon/ may they never gaze as high as heaven/ to ask why/ may I never go where angels fear to tread/ so as to have to ask for answers in the sky,’” she writes.
In January, Del Rey announced the poetry project on Instagram, but then deleted it. In the post, she wrote that she “finished a short book of poetry I’ve been writing over the last 13 months that I’ll be putting out later,” Spin reported at the time.
Meanwhile, over the weekend, Del Rey celebrated her upcoming birthday on June 21 with some of her fellow “June baby” friends.
“Happiest of birthdays to my June bugs! *Not pictured — 5 other June babies who were in the room!” the singer captioned a photo of herself with two friends in front of the ocean.
