Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett have teamed up for a second No. 1 on Billboard’s Jazz Digital Songs chart, as “Anything Goes” debuts atop the list. The song sold 16,000 downloads in the week ending Aug. 3, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
It’s the first offering from the duo’s upcoming standards album Cheek to Cheek, which will be released on Sept. 23 through Streamline/Columbia/Interscope Records.
Gaga and Bennett previously led the Jazz Digital Songs list for three weeks in 2011 with “The Lady Is a Tramp,” from Bennett’s Duets II album. The latter debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart — Bennett’s first No. 1 album in his storied career.
Gaga tweeted her congratulations to Bennett on another hit: “I’m so proud and I love you darling!”
