We’re dying to hear new music from Kesha. The immensely talented musician’s career is at a standstill, as Kesha’s legal battle with producer/label boss Dr. Luke continues. However, she made it onstage last Wednesday (Dec. 23) for a Nashville performance with a band called — yes, we’re serious — Yeast Infection.
And this was no normal Kesha gig. The Springwater Lounge was hush hush about the show (it says “closed” on the club’s website calendar) but a few lucky guests got to see one of pop music’s most fascinating personalities put on the sort of show she’d probably put on more frequently if it wasn’t for the structure of the music industry. Seriously, there can’t be more than a couple hundred people in the place.
Kesha gesticulated up a storm, vibing along with her band for some hippy-psych renditions of her top 40 hits “Blow” and “Timber.” Sadly, Pitbull did not make it out. According to E!, they also covered Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love.”
HAPPY HOLLERDAYZ from Y E A S T I N F E C T I O N!!! I love all of my ANIMALS!!! Thanks for all of the support this year!!!….Don’t worry NO ONE will ever shut me up.

In Oct. 2015, Kesha asked a judge for an injunction in her case against Dr. Luke, which could potentially allow her to record new music without the producer’s involvement. The two have been involved in a legal battle since Oct. 2014, with Kesha claiming to be the victim of sexual abuse. Dr. Luke asserts the charges are an attempt to extort him in order to get out from contracts with his Kemosabe Records label.
