Kesha‘s mother, Pebe Sebert, has been the pop star’s strongest supporter through the lawsuit against her longtime producer Dr. Luke and record label Sony Music. And on Thursday Sebert unleashed a Twitter tirade venting her frustration at the legal tie up she and her daughter claim is killing Kesha’s career.
Kesha Pushes for Injunction So She Can Record Album Without Dr. Luke
In the series of tweets, Sebert accused Dr. Luke of raping her daughter when she was 18 and then doing exactly what she said he threatened he would do — tying up her career in litigation “until she was ‘too old’ to make a record.”
Sebert then turned her attention to Sony — with whom Kesha recently said she would work again, so long as it’s without Dr. Luke — calling her legal obligations to the label “slavery.”

She went on to encourage people to boycott Sony, posting, “We can change the world by not buying the products sold by unethical companies. Then they change, or go out of business.”

If someone signs a contract to become someone’s slave, is slavery then legal?
