Kelly Clarkson has canceled her upcoming Canadian and U.K. tours on doctor’s order.
The Grammy-winning singer was set to perform nine dates across Canada, starting Oct. 1 in the nation’s capital, Ottawa, and concluding in Vancouver on Oct. 17. The six-date U.K. tour was set to begin Nov. 10 in Dublin at 3Arena. She already canceled some U.S. dates this month.
“I am truly sorry that I have to cancel the remainder of my tour dates,” read a statement posted to Clarkson’s social-media accounts Friday (Sept. 25). “I was looking forward to sharing this tour with all my amazing fans in Canada and the U.K. Unfortunately my doctor is telling me I have to stay on vocal rest, but I am working hard to get better as fast as possible.”
Clarkson’s Piece by Piece tour — named after her seventh studio album released back in February — began July 11 at Pennsylvania’s Hersheypark Stadium and was set to conclude Nov. 20 in London at Wembley’s SSE Arena.
Tickets will be refunded at original point of purchase.
