Kelly Clarkson knows that in 2020, working moms are a force to be reckoned with. That’s why she quickly clapped back at a hater who blamed her busy schedule for her recent divorce.
“no wonder her marriage didn’t work,” the troll wrote in a since-deleted tweet, responding to Clarkson’s announcement that she would be filling in for Simon Cowell on AGT while he recovers from back surgery.
“Wow,” the star responded. “Shaming a woman who has a great work ethic, is a great mom, and who steps up and fills in when a friends asks for a favor because that’s actually what ‘good old country girls’ do…. this can’t be who you are deep down. I have more faith in your heart. Aim higher please.”

Speaking of Clarkson killing it as a mom and as a career woman, she’s set to return as host for the 2020 Billboard Music Awards, which have been rescheduled from the original April date to Oct. 14 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
This will be Clarkson’s third consecutive year as host of the BBMAs — her first since winning her first Daytime Emmy Award, outstanding entertainment talk show host for the first season of The Kelly Clarkson Show.
