“This cheek has been caressed by Meryl Streep,” she gushed in the second episode of her web series Minute + a Glass of Wine. Clarkson edited in some footage of the moment she noticed the legendary actress was next to her while talking to Ryan Seacrest: “That’s Meryl!”
“Can I meet you? I’m such a fan,” she squealed at a smiling Streep.

For the rest of the video, Clarkson discussed all the other people she met at her first Golden Globes, and how pleasantly surprised she was at how nice her favorite celebrities were.
Besides Streep, another notable actor Clarkson met was Steve Carell, who iconically shouted “Kelly Clarkson!” during his painful chest wax in The 40-Year-Old Virgin. She laughed about knowing so much about Carell, that she spotted his wife before she even noticed the actor. “I should call my show Stage Five Clinger,” she joked.
Clarkson gushed over meeting Joe and Nick Jonas, “dragon queen” Emilia Clarke, Justin Tranter and Amy Poehler. “I don’t stalk all of them,” she assured, “Only three out of ten.” Watch her fangirl below.
