Kelly Clarkson slipped into something a bit Billie Eilish in her latest Kellyoke segment, laying a smoldering jazz vibe onto Billie’s 2017 single “Idontwannabeyouanymore.”
The socially distanced collab with her band — Clarkson once again Zoom’d in from her home for Monday’s (Aug. 17) edition of The Kelly Clarkson Show — found the singer steering the ballad down a smoky avenue, turning the pop ballad kind of blue thanks to tasteful stand-up bass, brushed drums and soulful organ runs.

The song about facing insecurities was the fifth single from Eilish’s debut 2017 EP, Don’t Smile at Me. It’s been a busy week for Clarkson, who temporarily filled in for her old pal Simon Cowell on America’s Got Talent last week after the former American Idol mean judge underwent back surgery after getting into an accident on his electric bicycle on Aug. 8.
