Katy Perry mentioned that “she keeps receipts” back in 2017 on “Swish Swish,” and it’s looking like she still does. Her new lyric video for “Never Really Over,” uploaded on Thursday (July 18), features a very lengthy one, indeed.
As the animated lyrics appear on the rolling receipt, other purchased items appear, like “martinis,” “zucchinis,” “red clown nose,” “sliced bread,” and “tiki mug.”
There even seemed to be some hints at her past work in the We Wrk Wknds-directed clip, like “whipped cream bra” (from the “California Girls” video) and “cherry chapstick” (from “I Kissed a Girl”). She also purchased “self control,” which was marked as returned.
