Before the results of 2016’s Eurovision Song Contest were announced, Justin Timberlake performed “Can’t Stop the Feeling” live for the first time at the international competition.
Timberlake opened the performance singing 2003’s “Rock Your Body,” soon switching over to his new single. He was joined by a group of backup singers/dancers and a horn section for the feel-good song’s live debut.
Though his appearance did not air on the the U.S. broadcast of the show (on Logo), he shared his excitement about singing “Can’t Stop the Feeling” – which was written and produced by Timberlake, Max Martin and Shellback – with a pair of pictures posted to Instagram.
“It’s an honor to share the #Eurovision stage tonight with so many talented artists from all over Europe. Best of luck to every contestant,” he wrote. In an interview with host (and last year’s winner) Mans Zelmerlow, Timberlake said he watched the last two Eurovision Song Contests.
