If you follow Justin Bieber on Twitter, you have yourself to thank for the Canadian singer’s latest accomplishment: As of Thursday (April 28), Bieber has amassed more than 80 million Twitter followers, as he remains the second most-followed person on Twitter after only Katy Perry (87.7 million followers).
Bieber’s massive Twitter army is an impressive feat, given that the teen heartthrob had to beat out President Obama’s 74 million followers and Taylor Swift‘s 76.3 million followers for the title of second most-followed on Twitter.
According to Twitter, Justin’s tweet with the most traction comes from January 2014, when the pop star thanked his Beliebers for staying by his side after he was charged with driving under the influence, resisting arrest and driving with a suspended license.
“You are all worthy no matter what anyone says,” Bieber tweeted. “I will forever be grateful.” The tweet currently has more than 617,000 retweets and 412,000 likes.
