Beliebers waited for hours in the rain for a chance to see Bieber and Mooney hit the street with a camera and microphone for some standard man on the street interviews. Of course, if you watch SNL you know by now there’s nothing standard about oddball Mooney’s comedy.

In the clip, Mooney takes on his awkward interviewer character who’s previously interviewed circus goers, fans before the Super Bowl and passerby about SNL‘s 40th anniversary. Mooney gets one drenched fan to repeat nearly a dozen times that she’s been waiting for four hours, he pegs some dedicated father the world’s biggest Bieber fan, mistakes a random blonde for Bieber and just generally asks the uncomfortable questions no other reporter would dare to ask.
