John Mayer fans can rejoice — it seems new music is on the way.
After taking some time away from his solo endeavors to join Dead & Company on tour, Mayer revealed Thursday (Nov. 10) that a project titled “Love On The Weekend” will be unveiled Nov. 17.
The “Gravity” singer shared a cryptic image on his Instagram that teased the new material.
While Mayer has been hinting at new music for several months, this is the first sign of what’s to come — though it’s unclear about exactly what “Love On The Weekend” will be. Ahead of the Nov. 17 reveal, though, Mayer has shared some cryptic content to his social media, including a snippet of a jazzy electric guitar riff playing in what appears to be a recording studio.
If “Love On The Weekend” is in fact a new song, it will mark Mayer’s first single since his cover of Beyonce’s “XO,” released in May 2014.
