John Mayer announced on Tuesday (Feb. 19) that he will drop his next song, “I Guess I Just Feel Like,” this Friday (Feb. 22).
The singer-songwriter shared the news on social media with the simple caption “2.22” next to a photograph with some details about the new track, including the artwork and runtime of 4:45.
Mayer debuted the song live during a performance at iHeartRadio LIVE in October 2018. “Thank you for listening to that new song — which is decidedly not a hit, let me just say,” Mayer told the crowd. “There’s nothing hit-like about it. But sometimes you’ve just got to tell the truth with a guitar and then you can get back to playing some hit songs.”
