Jessica Simpson, who is pregnant with her third child, spent the past week hospitalized due to bronchitis, she revealed in a post on Instagram Sunday (March 3). The singer said she is recovering and that her baby, who she’s naming Birdie, is doing well.
“After a week in the hospital for bronchitis (my fourth time in 2 months), I’m finally home!” Simpson wrote, captioning a photo of herself wearing a mask covering her mouth. “Coughing with Birdie has been a crazy painful journey. I am slowly getting healthier every day. Baby girl was monitored and is doing amazing. I am on my way to healthy and counting down the days to see her sweet smile.”
“Sending love and prayers to all the mothers who are going or have gone through this. OUCH,” she added.
Simpson and husband Eric Johnson have two other children, daughter Maxwell, 6, and son Ace, 5.
