Shakira and J.Lo delivered an epic Super Bowl halftime show
Between their respective hits and hip-shaking abilities, Jennifer Lopez and Shakira were undoubtedly going to put on quite the show during the Super Bowl LIV halftime. But their performance was so much more than just hip shaking (though there was a lot of it), as Shakira honored her Colombian roots with traditional dances and J Lo’s part included a powerful statement about the humanitarian crisis at the Southern border, as well as an adorable duet with her daughter, Emme.
BTS broke the record for most weeks at No. 1 on Social 50 chart
The K-pop superstars’ Twitter alone is enough to prove their power on social media, but now it’s chart official. BTS held the top spot on the Social 50 for a 164th week on the chart dated Feb. 8, which surpassed Justin Bieber’s 163-week reign for the most weeks at No. 1 on the chart.
Marcelito Pomoy took everyone’s breath away on AGT Champions
Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2 winner Marcelito Pomoy is now competing on AGT: The Champions, and on Monday night (Feb. 3), the Filipino singer stunned everyone with his solo duet of “Con Te Partirò.” His ability to sing both tenor and soprano parts made judge Heidi Klum admit he’s her favorite contestant, and even Howie Mandel asserted, “I believe you have the best shot of winning this whole thing.”
The album reveals just keep coming! Adam Lambert and 5 Seconds of Summer both announced 2020 full-length releases this week. Even better? They arrive just one week apart, and they’re not far away: Lambert’s Velvet is due March 20, and 5SOS’ Calm is set for March 27.
Katy Perry was revealed as the No. 8 artist of the 2010s
Billboard is gradually unveiling the top 10 artists of the 2010s leading up to the 2020 Billboard Music Awards on April 29, previously revealing Post Malone at No. 10 and Maroon 5 at No. 9. On Tuesday (Feb. 4), Katy Perry was announced as No. 8, thanks in part to her 11 top 10 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 in the decade, including eight No. 1s.
Christmas came late for Eminem thanks to LL Cool J, who gifted the “Godzilla” rapper with a black varsity jacket with “Rock the Bells” emblazoned on the back. The jacket had Em hyped, as he posted a pic wearing it on Twitter exclaiming “it came in a boombox box!” LL was quick to respond, writing “You’re absolutely welcome M !!!”

Justin Bieber unveiled his Changes track list
Justin Bieber made do a little investigating in order to find out all of the song titles on his forthcoming album Changes, teasing the track list with an Instagram filter that said “What Changes track are you?” After some dedicated Beliebers took the time to uncover all 17 track names that flashed through the filter on Feb. 4, Bieber confirmed the full track list the next day.

Bad Bunny, Ozuna and J Balvin are all in the artist of the year category, also competing against Romeo Santos. See the full list of finalists here.
Post Malone got (another) face tattoo
Just when you thought Post Malone may not have any more tattoo room on his face, he found another open spot on his left cheek. A Kansas City-based tattoo artist named Ruben revealed a tat of a bloody chainsaw that he did for Posty after the singer’s concert at KC’s Sprint Center on Wednesday night (Feb. 5).
We already knew that Alicia Keys’ voice is perfect for a Billie Eilish song when the two teamed up for “Ocean Eyes” on The Late Late Show in December. But Keys tackled another Billie song on her own in the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge on Thursday (Feb. 6), delivering a riveting cover of “Everything I Wanted.”
Meek Mill and Justin Timberlake, Nicki Minaj and more released new tunes
Just two days after teasing a Justin Timberlake collab titled “Believe,” Meek Mill came through with exactly that on Friday (Feb. 7). But that was just one of the several big-name releases this week, as Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, Niall Horan and Khalid and Disclosure also dropped new tunes. Plus, Green Day delivered their much-anticipated album Father Of All…, and the Birds of Prey soundtrack — featuring Halsey, Lauren Jauregui and several other badass women — also arrived.
