On the night of his Made in America Festival set (Saturday, Sept. 5), Nick Jonas surprised fans on Twitter with a new song, titled “Area Code.”

“Area Code,” which comes just a few weeks after the release of his latest single, “Levels,” doesn’t seem to be finished just yet. “I need someone to put a verse on this,” Jonas wrote on the SoundCloud stream.
“I’m in your area code / I hit you up, are you alone? / So many places this could go / Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah / I’m f—ed up, you don’t even know / Baby, it’s better that you don’t / I’m guessing now my cover’s blown,” Jonas sings.

Another new Nick Jonas song is reason enough for fans to be excited, but many started freaking out even more when they heard him sing the lyric “You say I never been good for you / You can’t deny I gave it good to you” at around the 1:13 mark — since the “good for you” line sounds like it could be referencing the Selena Gomez single “Good for You.” Jonas and Gomez reportedly dated in the past.
Jonas added fire to the speculation when he favorited two fan tweets that linked to “Area Code” and mentioned Gomez. One tweet began, “When u hang out with Selena Gomez,’ while the other one commented, “Oh my gosh. Nick. Selena. Never thought I’d be saying this again! Area Code references ‘Good for You.’”
