“It’s a little difficult but it’s alright, I’m lucky I’m with friends in our little safe self-isolation pod,” the “Adore You” singer told 1Xtra Residency host Fenn O’Meally by phone. “It’s a strange time but we’re just being careful, listening to music, playing games, doing some face masks, you know, the classic quarantine stuff!”
It turns out the superstar is using his social distancing time to focus on broadening his horizons with a couple of new skills. “Now is the perfect time to learn a new skill and try a new hobby or something, right?” he added. “We have nothing but time. I was learning Italian and doing some sign language classes.”
Styles also shouted out Mac Miller during the chat, selecting the late rapper’s posthumous album cut “Blue World” (from 2020’s Circles) as his personal quarantine track of choice during the chat.
