Gwen Stefani‘s comeback is upon us.
Ahead of her anticipated 2015 album, the No Doubt frontwoman said Tuesday morning (Jan. 20) that she will headline her first solo show in six years at Los Angeles’ Orpheum on Feb. 7.
“[Performing] never gets old,” she told Today. “It always is exciting, and it’s always surprising to me that anyone’s interested or that I get to do all this fun stuff. I feel so grateful. I’ve just started listening to all my old songs again and I’m learning them all. … I don’t remember any of the lyrics!”
Gwen Stefani & Pharrell’s ‘Spark the Fire’ Lyric Video Is an Emoji Explosion
Stefani’s one-night-only announcement arrives as part of her recently inked partnership with MasterCard’s Priceless Surprises campaign. Co-founded with Justin Timberlake in 2013, the deal saw Stefani starring in a TV spot in December, and fills her 2015 calendar with various promotional events and “Priceless Surprises” in markets around the world. (For example, a 2014 Grammy ad had Timberlake surprising a fan at home.)
The partnership also offers support of her upcoming solo album — her first since 2006’s Sweet Escape — and corresponding tour, as well as upcoming projects with No Doubt.
Stefani schedules her concert just after wrapping a season as a coach on NBC’s The Voice. During that time, she released singles “Baby Don’t Lie” and “Spark the Fire,” the latter recorded with fellow coach and oft-collaborator Pharrell.
LA Times first reported the news.
