G.O.O.D. Music songstress Kacy Hill returns with an animated visual for her ferocious new single “Lion,” premiering exclusively on Billboard.
After the song made its debut on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show (July 6), the Arizona native uses the chest-beating track as a canvas to flaunt her roots as she stands in front of a red brick house alongside cactus plants and trees that morph into colorfully distorted images.

Hill (who signed to West’s Def Jam imprint in 2014) calls the single “one of the most aggressive tracks” off her forthcoming debut album slated to drop later this year. She adds, “[It] speaks rather shamelessly about my own tendency to shroud feelings of guilt in defensiveness.”
Animated by Adam Ross, the vivid visual was shot in Hill’s hometown of Phoenix and focuses on the “romanticism in the American Dream and nostalgia of growing up in the desert.”
