Friends originally premiered Sept. 22, 1994 (that’s right — 25 years ago!). Over the ten years the show was on the air — and, of course, in the 15 years the show hasn’t made any new episodes but is still on television approximately five times a day — the enthusiasm for Friends is still as heavy as that couch Ross attempted to get into his apartment.
Outside of the iconic theme song, there were many memorable music moments on the show. Check out 10 of our favorites below, and then let us know the Friends music moment that stuck out to you. And don’t worry — obviously Phoebe Buffay’s feline-based hit made our list. (Music point of discussion: This show somehow had a Rachel/Joey romance subplot (!?) but didn’t ever have a musical episode? Missed opportunity.)

10. “With Or Without You”
Let’s go back to a time where U2 was in pop culture without Apple. Let’s go back to a time when a radio shout-out was still a thing, and this was the most romantic one this side of Sleepless in Seattle.
9. Phoebe’s Christmas Song
Sorry, Pheebs. All these years later, and we still can’t think of a great rhyme for “Chandler and Rachel.”
8. “Copacabana”
If you love Rachel Green, moments like this are why.
7. “Angel Of The Morning”
The Pretenders frontwoman Chrissie Hynde sings “Angel of the Morning” and blows Phoebe out of the water (and Central Perk).
6. “My Mother’s Ashes”
Like most of Buffay’s best work, this tune had a seriously dark edge.
5. Ross’ “Sound”
More “wordless sound poems,” please. Wordless sound poems forever.
4. “Their Bodies”
Just the right amount of creepy for when you’re trapped somewhere.
3. “Baby Got Back”
Just the thing to get your baby to laugh — just make sure your other friends don’t catch you.
2. “The Shower Song”
Remember: Tegren spelled backwards is nerget.
1. “Smelly Cat”
Among all of Phoebe’s hits, this one is a classic for a reason.
Plus, a bonus music clip that shows the cast at their goofy best. If a reunion ever happens (it won’t!), please recreate this.
