It’s not a Florence + the Machine show without a memorable twist. Florence Welch and company turned the set of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon into their own rose-filled garden for a magical performance of their latest single, “Hunger” on Wednesday night (May 16).
Welch began the upbeat, piano-driven tune on the floral stage, but it wasn’t long before the singer took her mic from the stand and pounced off the platform. Sporting an angelic blush-pink chiffon gown, Welch skipped, jumped and pranced side-to-side across the front row of the studio audience, twirling around as her fiery red hair spun along with her. Despite the highly aerobic performance, Welch didn’t compromise her voice, belting out her vocals with near perfection.
“Hunger” is the second single from Florence + the Machine’s fourth studio album, High as Hope, set for release June 29.
