Late last year, Fifth Harmony’s Normani signed her own solo management deal, and earlier this week, she dropped her single “Love Lies” with Khalid — which made some fans worry that the end of 5H is near.
Normani spoke to Beats 1’s Zane Lowe and put those worries to rest. “Everything that we’ve been through, I feel like literally it’s us against the world and that’s together and apart. We’ll always have some place to call home, which is Fifth Harmony.”
The singer added that she wouldn’t be where she is now without the group, which is why they will always stick together. “It will always be the biggest part of our lives. I’m thankful for those girls. We’ve literally been through anything you could possibly imagine. We’re resilient. It’s us against the world.”
The group formed on The X Factor in 2012. Last year, they released their first album as a foursome, after the departure of original member Camila Cabello.
Normani also spilled about her new song, which she is “so excited” about. “This is the first time I feel like people are actually getting a sense of who I actually am.” Listen to the full interview below:
