Alt pop-rock band Emarosa has returned with the shimmering “Cautious,” premiering exclusively on Billboard today (Jan. 28).
The track is simultaneously guitar-heavy and vibrant in its synth-pop tendencies, with a huge hook that’ll have frontman Bradley Walden’s husky vocals stuck in your head.
“Sex after heartbreak can tell you a lot about who you are,” Walden tells Billboard of the track’s brooding lyrics. “If you move on, you move on. If you can’t move on, maybe that was love you had. When I wrote this I was just trying to navigate those feelings.”
“Cautious” serves as the third single off Emarosa’s upcoming album Peach Club, on which you can expect the Kentucky-based quartet to explore a more pop-heavy sound.
