Songs from the “Fault in Our Stars” soundtrack came to life last night in a special YouTube livestream featuring Ed Sheeran, Charli XCX and Grouplove.
Broadcasted from Los Angeles’ YouTube Space LA, the hour-long event also featured the stars of the upcoming romantic dramedy, namely Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort. Watch the event below (it begins approximately 30 minutes into the video):
Charli XCX gets things going with a performance of her song from the film’s soundtrack, “Boom Clap.” The stylish British singer sticks around for a performance of her new single “SuperLove.”
Next up, Grouplove performs the soundtrack cut “Let Me In” and another song (from their 2013 album “Spreading Rumors”), “Ways to Go.”
Finally, the night’s biggest musical star takes the stage. With a little vocal help from the audience, Ed Sheeran performs his new Pharrell Williams-produced single “Sing,” along with “All of the Stars,” the lead track from the “Fault in Our Stars” soundtrack.
The soundtrack, which also features music from Lykke Li, M83, Ray LaMontagne, Jake Bugg and others, will be released May 19.
The motion picture, based on a novel by John Green, hits theaters June 6.
