It’s been a whole year since Dua Lipa released her life-changing single, “New Rules,” and she took a minute to celebrate her track just before she took the stage on its anniversary.
On the final day of Denmark’s Roskilde Festival on Saturday (July 7), the thousands-strong crowd lost their minds to the chorus of the smash, which served as Dua Lipa’s international breakthrough in 2017. It peaked at No. 6 on the Hot 100, and is still holding it down at No. 40 after 48 weeks on the chart.
Clearly “New Rules” still has staying power, and it’s a song she’s proud to shout out now that it’s long since established itself as her biggest hit to date.
