Donny Osmond asked fans to pray for his older brother, Tom, on Tuesday (July 10) after the second eldest Osmond sibling recently underwent quadruple bi-pass heart surgery.
“He’s on life support right now & fighting to hang on,” Osmond wrote of Tom, 70, the second oldest of the nine Osmond family brothers and sisters. “We don’t know what the future holds, but it’s in the Lord’s hands.”
As you may know, my brother Tom underwent quadruple bi-pass surgery. He’s on life support right now & fighting to hang on. We don’t know what the future holds, but it’s in the Lord’s hands. Our entire family would appreciate your thoughts & prayers on behalf of my sweet brother. pic.twitter.com/0tGZcNKMEd

Sister Marie Osmond also paid tribute to Tom, who was born with a severe hearing impairment and performed occasionally with the famous family band on their 1970s and 80s TV specials. “My brother Tom is a great example of our Savior’s love,” she wrote. “He has a broken [heart] and contrite spirit!!”
My brother Tom is a great example of our Savior’s love. He has a broken — and contrite spirit! — On my Facebook & Website, see why he needs prayers today. I love you my sweet Brother. –??
