Demi Lovato said in an Instagram Story on Wednesday that her “heart is overwhelmed” with the support she’s gotten from fans for her docuseries Demi Lovato: Dancing With the Devil. She also announced that her new single, “Dancing With The Devil,” will arrive on March 26.
In her IG Story, 28 year-old Lovato said she was beside herself with joy at the kind words and thoughts she’s gotten since this premiere of the YouTube Originals series that delves into some of the darkest chapters in her life.
“Thanking God for all the love and support I’ve felt from my fans, friends and family over the past 24 hours,” she wrote in the Story. “My heart is so overwhelmed in the best way. I love you all so much and thank you for your messages..you have no idea what they mean to me. We’re in this together and I feel you with me – thank you.”
The four-part warts-and-all docuseries opened the SXSW Film Festival on Tuesday (March 16), pulling back the curtain on the singer’s 2018 heroin overdose as well as a sexual assault she suffered at age 15 and on the night of her near-fatal overdose.
Lovato is releasing a companion album, Dancing With the Devil… The Art of Starting Over, on April 2.
The series explores the devastating overdose, which left Lovato with three strokes and a heart attack, as well as blind spots in her vision that block her from driving.
