Cyndi Lauper announced the lineup for her eighth annual Cyndi Lauper & Friends: Home for the Holidays benefit concert Tuesday (Oct. 16). The concert, which celebrates the 10th anniversary of Lauper’s co-founded True Colors Fund, will take place at New York City’s Beacon Theatre on Dec. 8.
The Grammy-winning “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” legend will be joined by guests including Amanda Palmer, Angie Stone, A$AP Rocky, Bebe Rexha, Bishop Briggs, Charlie Musselwhite, Dr. Elmo, Gina Yashere, Natalie Merchant, Regina Spektor, Robert Glasper, Sara Ramírez, Shea Diamond and The Knocks. The concert will be hosted by the original Queer Eye’s “Fashion Savant” Carson Kressley.
“LGBTQ youth are strong, brave, and resilient,” Lauper said in a release. “At ‘Home for the Holidays,’ we’ll raise our voices in solidarity with LGBTQ young people — and raise money to support the True Colors Fund’s work to end homelessness among LGBTQ youth. I’m so grateful to the artists for donating their time and talent to bring attention to this important cause.”
Home for the Holidays has sold out in past years, quickly becoming a holiday tradition for those who want to support an important cause. One hundred percent of the net proceeds from the upcoming show will go toward True Colors Fund programs that work to end and prevent homelessness among LGBTQ youth.
Tickets for the general public go on sale at Ticketmaster.com starting Friday (Oct. 19) at 12:00 p.m. EST.
