The teen pop idol-turned-singer/songwriter, who recently put on one of Billboard’s 10 favorite performances at Firefly, shows off his command of beachy vibes on the new track, an upbeat ode to a “happy little hippie” he once met.

“I wrote the song about a girl I met on the street in Venice Beach,” he tells Billboard. “She had this whole bohemian look to her. After sharing some conversation with her, I realized that we shared a lot of the same views on life, and on the world.”
