Pop singer Charlie Puth released the studio session video of his collaboration with R&B vocal group Boyz II Men Thursday (Feb. 1) and it does not disappoint as the groups stunning falsettos soar high above unlike any other.
Taking place in a recording studio decked with white holiday lights and backed by numerous colorful tapestries, the singer and vocal trio sang their song “If You Leave Me Now” off Puth’s soon-to-be-released album, Voicenotes.
Hitting every high note and every low note, the quartet sings intimate lyrics such as “No, this is not goodbye/ I swear that I’m gonna change / No, baby, please don’t cry / It doesn’t have to end this way,” while sitting atop stools and swaying along to the melody.
“If You Leave Me Now” was first released early last month as a consolation by Puth for pushing back his album’s release. Described as “one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written,” by Puth, he took to Twitter to reveal he would be releasing the song to make it up to his loyal legion of fans.
